Hi All

I've just returned from a walking holiday in the Lake District, centered around Keswick, where we've climbed every mountain (well some anyway), forded every stream we've encountered, and looked for rainbows to follow but the weather was too good for those. 

No prizes for guessing the song reference!! 🎵

We've played crazy golf, pitch and putt, found some fine restaurants, and maybe got through a bit of wine and beer. 

Good to be back but now in need of a rest.

    I haven't been singing very much just if some song I recognise comes on TV. I've kept myself busy with several things- trying to finish a 1000 piece jigsaw which I started last February when I came out of hospital with my hip, I'm also been busy in the garden (it's that time of year). I've put wallflowers in and taken geraniums out to store for the winter. I've also been in touch with relatives and sent them photos of past family members -some I haven't been in contact with for many years.

Ramblings of a Ancient Tenor

Those of you that saw my comments on Penny's posts will know that I am a rabid tenor who enjoys his natural surroundings. (In my own defence I do try not to pass on my rabid condition to either humans or animals). Since the start of the original lockdown, my pal (who, to protect the innocent, will be known as C) and I have been almost daily visitors to The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust (NWT) reserve called Skylarks in Holme Pierrepoint which is approximately 2 miles from my home. Both C and I are in our 70s and have underlying conditions which might cause problems if we catch Covid. For that reason we are always careful to socially distance and take all necessary precautions. We do that anyway but we don't travel to the hide together, we both cycle and I alternate with walking. The times that we arrive at the hide coincide.
